Re: ?A grand bargain for middle-class jobs,? Aug. 18 Barack Obama column.
Suddenly President Obama?s concern is with jobs. With all of his ?phony scandals,? including Chicago-style politics with the IRS and NSA, Obama has paid scant attention to the plight of working Americans unless they helped his agenda. Instead of helping people by giving them hope and encouragement, he only ever tells them how hard they have it, and how it is everyone else?s fault, especially the fault of the rich.
If he took how much time he has spent with speeches, photo ops and other TV appearances, and applied that to helping America, he could do so much more.
To quote letter-writer William Autrey from Boulder (?Exactly who are the Independence Institute?s donors?? Aug. 18), ?The amount of advertising behind a product often inversely relates to the value and strength of its qualities.?
Kurt Williams, Arvada
