Like any other sport, their are people that think achieving great success in a sport has a secret. Well the matter of fact is, that their is no real truth for a person to hit a baseball and launch it across the field. Or for a soccer player to kick the soccer ball over half of the soccer field. Better yet, their is no secret to a person who is able to dunk. Everyone is looking for secrets to become the best and to be the best, then you must train. Lots and plenty of athletes use jumping programs in the hopes that they will benefit from it and increase their vertical. Though, many do have higher verticals after they are done with the training program because they have done it correctly. Just think about how much of an advantage you will have if you have a better leap then other athletes and especially in sports that require jumping like volleyball.
So what is the secret to jumping higher? Well their is no secret at all and in fact the only thing that can be considered a secret is the fact that a person has decided to purchase a vertical program because they are taking action to increase their vertical. But however, if you do not have a vertical jump program then you can listen to some of the tips here and your vertical will increase naturally.
Being flexible like a gymnast does have its share of benefits, for instance if you are flexible and able to stretch your legs and body in great motion then you are increasing mobility of your joints and if were to go for a jumping motion then with that flexible body that you have, you will have a greater momentum and that means greater motion in range.
Another thing that you can do to increase your vertical is by running fast. You can also say that running fast is sprinting and sprinting really does help you to increase your vertical because it is a plyometric exercise believe it or not. You may have done sprinting and not even realize it, you sprint when you are in football or running to the base in baseball. Running fast can be the same as springint but only if you are going all out.
One thing or tip that you can take and that will help you to increase your vertical already is by practicing the arm motions when you jump. When you jump, you are also using your arms to propel your body to the air,so when you practice on having greater arm momentum then you are also able to increase your vertical by some time.
