He also co-produced these movies. Akshay says, ?It feels good and privileged to be the highest tax payer. It is also a greater sense of responsibility.?

No list is ever complete without the presence of ?King Khan.? Sharukh Khan has paid 10 crore in taxes this financial year. He has always been a diligent tax payer. This tax amount is nearly 55 percent less than his last year?s tax as he paid an amount of 18 crore in the financial year 2010-11.

Bollywood superstar and arch rival of SRK, Salman Khan, has paid a tax of 10 crore in 2011-12. He retained his tax amount as he paid the same on 2010-11. He had two big hits last year ? ?Ready? and ?Bodyguard.?

NEW DELHI: Singh is definitely king. At least for the taxman. Filmstar Akshay Kumar has emerged as the top taxpayer in Bollywood for 2008-09, narrowly pipping Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) to the numero uno position.
Kumar paid a total advance tax of Rs 31 crore in the financial year against Rs 12.5 crore in 2007-08, a whopping 148% more than what he paid in the previous financial year, thanks to his recent box office hits. That means Kumar?s total earnings for the period were a tad above Rs 100 crore!
